How the schedule works
Each line sits in a box. Play it without a slip and it moves up a box; its next review is then 1, 3, 7, 14, 30 or 60 days away. A slip, or a hint, drops it two boxes so you see it again soon. Reviews run in order of due date, oldest first.
Learn the ideas first: before you add a line, read its page for the plans and the traps. Moves you understand are far easier to remember than moves you memorized as a string.
Questions
How does the repertoire trainer work?
Add the lines you play from any opening page. The trainer asks you to play your side's moves on the board; a line you get right comes back after 1, 3, 7, 14, 30 and then 60 days, and a line you miss comes back sooner. It is the Leitner box method of spaced repetition.
Is the trainer free?
Yes. Every line on the site can be added and reviewed for free, up to 20 reviews a day. Your repertoire is saved in this browser.
Where is my progress stored?
In your browser's local storage on this device. Nothing is sent to us. You can download a backup file and load it on another device.
